Volleyball to Meet Western Kentucky in NCAA Tournament

CINCINNATI - After posting a 26-6 regular season record and capturing a share of the BIG EAST regular-season championship, the University of Cincinnati volleyball team was selected as an at-large team to compete in the NCAA Tournament beginning Dec. 4. The Bearcats will play Western Kentucky at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 in Champaign, Ill.

UC is making its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance and its first since 2003, where the Bearcats lost in the opening round in five sets to UCF. This is Cincinnati's first NCAA Tournament as a member of the BIG EAST conference.

Cincinnati and Western Kentucky met earlier this season in Bowling Green, Ky., and the Bearcats defeated Western Kentucky in four sets.

The other match-up in Champaign, Ill. Is No. 9 Illinois vs. Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
