Bearcats Fifth at UAB Fall Beach Blast

First Round Results

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Anna Cumtell (Halmstad, Sweden) fired a first-round 75 to lead the University of Cincinnati women's golf team to a fifth-place standing at the UAB Fall Beach Blast on Monday (Nov. 3) at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club.

The Bearcats shot 310, two shots behind fourth-place Indiana State (308) and 13 shots back of first-round leaders Columbia (297).

Kate Moore (Shepparton, Australia/Goulburn Grammar School) and Marianne Erb (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) shot 77s and Bambee Dela Paz (Caloocan City, Philipines/Miriam College) shot an 81 to round out UC's scoring.

Samford (300) and Texas-San Antonio (303) sit in second and third, respectively, after the first round.

The second and final round gets underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT.
