CINCINNATI - The accolades keep rolling in for the University of Cincinnati football team as the Hamilton County Commission honored the Bearcats Wednesday during its business meeting.
Head coach Brian Kelly, Director of Athletics Mike Thomas and student-athletes Connor Barwin, Mike Mickens, and DeAngelo Smith visited the Commission's offices downtown, receiving proclamations from county commissioners Todd Portune, Pat DeWine, and David Pepper.
Dec. 10 was declared UC Bearcat Football Day in Hamilton County.
The Bearcats (11-2) will face No. 21/19 Virginia Tech in the 75th FedEx Orange Bowl at Dolphin Stadium on Jan. 1. The game is scheduled to be televised nationally on FOX. Tickets are available by calling 1-877 CATS-TIX or visiting CATSTIX.com.
