Cincinnati (AP) - Kahla Roudebush scored 17 points and Cincinnati used a late run for a 65-55 victory over No. 23 Xavier on Sunday.
Freshman Shanasa Sanders scored twice and Angel Morgan hit a 3 for her only points to key a 17-4 run over the last three minutes for Cincinnati (6-2). Sanders finished with 14 points.
April Phillips scored 16 points to lead four players in double figures for Xavier (7-3).
Until the Bearcats' late spurt, neither team in the crosstown rivalry led by more than four points. Cincinnati won for the second straight time to lead the series 22-9.
Shooting and rebounding were nearly identical with Xavier shooting 40 percent to Cincinnati's 41 percent. The Bearcats outrebounded Xavier 34-31.
The teams played an even first half with Xavier clinging to a 24-23 advantage at the break.
