CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati head football coach Brian Kelly and his staff will play host to a public event at U.S. Bank Arena on Feb. 4 to close out `Signing Day Live 2009'. The event will begin at 6:15 p.m., prior to the tipoff of UC's contest against BIG EAST rival Notre Dame at 7:30.
Coach Kelly will be on hand to provide insight about the 2009 football recruiting class. In addition to the review, a video package highlighting the signing class will be shown. Season ticket deposits will be accepted for new season ticket patrons.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the event will be held in The All Access Bar & Grill located on the fifth floor suite level of U.S. Bank Arena from 6:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Fans need to enter through the main gate, next to the box office. A cash bar, complimentary soft drinks and snacks will be available to the first 200 fans attending. The restaurant will be open for food to be purchased.
Space is limited. RSVP for this event is required by contacting the UC Athletics Marketing Department at 513-556-0838. Tickets to the basketball game are required and available for purchase by visiting ticketmaster.com.
The U.S. Bank Arena event is only one part of the Bearcats' coverage of signing day. Throughout the day on Feb. 4, GoBEARCATS.com is your home for "Signing Day Live," an innovative internet show broadcast live from the Twyman Lounge located on the fourth floor of the Lindner Center. It is the only way to be inside the Football Office in Varsity Village on national signing day.
The voice of GoBEARCATS.com, Tom Gelehrter will host guests and break down the Class of 2008 at the top of each hour starting at 8 a.m. Reports will be available throughout the day live, and via podcast, at GoBEARCATS.com.
Viewers will also be treated to video scouting reports on all signees, along with biographies on each individual.
