CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati head women's soccer coach Michelle Salmon announced the 2009 spring schedule which includes six dates, the last being a match with former alumni. The Bearcats will face several local rivals during their month-long spring slate.
UC will begin the spring against Butler on Sunday, April 5 and follow that match three days later against Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday, April 8. The Bearcats will travel to Oxford to take on Miami (OH) on Tuesday, April 14 in their only road appearance of the spring. They return home to face cross-town rival Xavier on Saturday, April 18 and finish out the month of April against Marshall on the 24th. The Alumni match takes place on May 2, closing out the 2009 spring calendar.

"Our student-athletes have shown a tremendous amount of heart and dedication in their off-season preparation and I am pleased with our current culture as it places us in a good position to meet the challenges that our spring schedule will bring. "
The women's soccer team is coming off of an historic 2008 season that saw the team reach the BIG EAST Championship quarterfinals for the first time in school history as well as 10-7-3, (5-3-3) record in the regular season, its best overall record since 2002, and the best BIG EAST record in school history.
