INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - University of Cincinnati swimmer Josh Schneider set a school and meet record and hit the NCAA 'A' standard in the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries, Friday in BIG EAST Championship action at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI.

Schneider, who clocked 19.17, broke his own school record of 19.38, set on Dec. 2, 2008. He surpassed the BIG EAST meet mark of 19.57, set by West Virginia's Chris Hagedorn in 2006.
