KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team moved up a spot to 34th place after the second round of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic on Monday (Feb. 23) at the Cougar Point Golf Course.

Kate Moore (Shepparton, Australia/Goulburn Valley Grammar) shaved three strokes off of her first-round score with a 78 on the second 18. Moore was even par after her first nine and one under after 11 holes, but struggled down the stretch to finish six over on the day. She is currently 89th at 15 over par for the tournament.

UC's low round of the day belonged to freshman Anna Cumtell (Halmstad, Sweden), who fired a consistent 77, featuring 12 pars. Her two-day total of 84-77=161 has her in a tie for 109th.

Bambee Dela Paz (Caloocan City, Philippines/Miriam College) sits at 20 over par after a second-round 80.

The Bearcats' total of 334-319=653 has them in 34th by themselves after 36 holes.

Miami (Fla.) (300-305=605) holds a one shot lead over East Tennessee State (300-306=606) in the team competition.

Elisa Aoki of Central Florida, Mary Kate Bird of Nebraska, and Florida's Jessica Yadloczky hold the individual lead at two over par.

The final round is set to get underway at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Feb. 24.
