YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four with a 7-0 non-conference victory over St. Bonaventure. The win improves the Bearcats record to 6-4 on the season, one more win than the squad recorded last year.
The team's No. 1 player in both singles and doubles, Ksenia Slynko has gone undefeated in singles and doubles play during the winning streak and lost just four points in the match vs. St. Bonaventure. As a team the Bearcats lost just seven points vs. the Bonnies and won all of their singles matches in straight sets.
UC (6-4, 1-1 BIG EAST) returns home Feb. 27-28 for a weekend doubleheader with area rival Miami University on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Southern Illinois on Saturday at 4 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club.
