KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Anna Cumtell (Halmstad, Sweden) fired a 78 to help the University of Cincinnati women's golf team to a 30th-place finish at the season-opening Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic on Tuesday at Cougar Point Golf Course.

Cumtell finished with a three-round total of 84-77-78=239 to place 94th.

UC's second straight 319-stroke day pushed the Bearcats up four spots from 34th after the second round. UC finished 334-319-319=972, four shots back of Richmond (330-310-328=968).

Kate Moore (Shepparton, Australia/Goulburn Grammar School) finished in a tie for 124th place with a three-day total of 81-78-84=243.

The Bearcats' top round of the third round was posted by Marianne Erb (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson), who shot a 77. She finished 139th with a 85-84-77=246.

The team title was split between Miami (Fla.) (300-305-299=904) and Central Arkansas (310-300-294=904), with East Tennessee State (300-306-302=908) just four shots back.

The individual title was captured by Nicole Forshner of Central Arkansas and ETSU's Sinead O'Sullivan, who each finished two over par 218 for the tournament.

The Bearcats are next in action on March 6-8 at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
