COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Junior Jasmine Cotten earned three Top-10 finishes in five events to finish 14th in the pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium at McFerrin Athletic Center. Cotten finished with a score of 3,875.

The event was won by BYU's Amy Menlove, who recorded a score of 4,365. Cotten finished 10th in the 60 hurdles with a time 8.70, 13th in the shot put with a toss of 35' 00-1/2", and 16th in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 2:32.50. Cotten tied for fourth in the high jump, clearing 5' 07-3/4", while also recording a ninth-place mark of 19' 00" in the long jump.

Cotten was the BIG EAST champion of the pentathlon with an NCAA-automatic qualification of 4,073 points. Cotten's performance shattered her own school-record, which was set at the All-Ohio Championships Feb. 13-14 with a score of 3,958.
