Final Results

MUNCIE, Ind. - The University of Cincinnati men's golf team finished sixth at the Ball State Invitational after the third and final round was cancelled due to weather on Sunday (March 29) at Sultan's Run Golf Course.

Alberto Fernandez (Gijorn, Spain/La Corolla) was UC's top finisher, placing eighth after rounds of 75-74=149.

Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) finished in a tie for 15th, firing rounds of 77-74=151. Ryan Cahill (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) was three shots back, finishing tied for 26th (75-79=154).

The Bearcats (305-309=614) were tied for sixth with Indiana (309-305=614), two shots behind Wright State, which finished at 311-301=612. Host Ball State won the team title, posting rounds of 297-294=591.

Ball State's Anthony Novak, playing as an individual, earned medalist honors after rounds of 71-73=144.

The Bearcats are next in action on April 3-4, at the Marshall Invitational in Huntingdon, W.Va.
