CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team held a two-hour workout on the Nippert Stadium turf Wednesday, marking the second of its 15 spring practices.
The sun was out as the Bearcats ran through a myriad of drills with emphasis on 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 sessions. The tight ends group spent time working with the offensive line on blocking techniques, and the special teams got in some work on field goals early in the session.
Defensive coordinator Bob Diaco, who joined the Bearcats after a stint at the University of Virginia, has been installing UC's multiple-front defense. GoBEARCATS.com sat down with Diaco last week and you can see the interview by clicking HERE.
Brian Bennett, ESPN.com's BIG EAST blogger, stopped by practice Tuesday to observe and took time out for an interview with GoBEARCATS.com. Fans can view that interview by clicking HERE.
Spring practice will conclude on April 25 with BEARCAT BOWL III. The annual spring contest will take place in Nippert Stadium at 7 p.m. Admission is free for all fans.
