CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team played its second spring game of the season on Wednesday night and earned its second victory in the spring by defeating visiting Eastern Kentucky, 2-0, at Gettler Stadium.

Cincinnati scored both goals in the second half, the first by Kendall Loggins (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North), who took a pass from Melissa Bigg (Limehouse, Ontario/Acton) and found the back of the net with 60:16 on the clock. The Bearcats scored their final goal when Syndey Barker ( Roswell, Ga./Roswell) passed to Kay Young (Doylestown, Ohio/ Chippewa) who found Brittney Hansen (Toledo, Ohio/ St. Ursula Academy) to finish the goal with 8:37 left in the game.

"With this being our second game of spring we continue to improve and take the necessary steps for us to be prepared for next fall," said head coach Michelle Salmon. "Overall our possession today was outstanding and we did a great job dictating the tempo of the game. I was pleased with the way we defended throughout the game, it was another solid effort from our back line and a well deserved result."

UC's next match will at Miami (OH) on Tuesday, April 14 in the only road appearance of the spring season.
