CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team lost, 17-4, on Saturday afternoon at Nippert Stadium to No. 16/14 Loyola (Md.) in BIG EAST action.

Loyola rushed out to a 4-0 lead in the first five minutes of play and never looked back. The Bearcats put back-to-back goals on the scoreboard when Lindsey Marshall (Hilliard, Ohio/Ohio) scored at the 23:13 mark of the first period and Lynsey Burton (Smithtown, N.Y./Ohio) took a feed from MacKenzie Parsons (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) with 23:36 remaining in the period. Natalie Starvaggi (Loveland, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) added a goal with 3:15 left in the first period for the Bearcats. UC's goal in the second period came from Jenn Doran (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) with 1:22 left to play.

Loyola was led in scoring by Abby Rehfuss and Mary Heneberry who each scored four goals for the Greyhounds. Katherine Russo (Westminster, Md./Winters Mills) recorded a career-high 17 saves in goal for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats welcome Louisville on Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. for a BIG EAST game at Nippert Stadium. The game will be Senior Night for UC's lone senior, Lindsey Marshall.
