CINCINNATI - Following a weekend where it scrimmaged the defending back-to-back National Champion Penn State Nittany Lions, the University of Cincinnati volleyball team wraps up its 2009 Spring season when it welcomes Maryland, Xavier, Cleveland State, Ohio, and Youngstown State to Clifton for its home tournament on Saturday, April 25, as part of Bearcat Pride Day. The tournament will be held in the practice gym on the first floor of the Richard E. Lindner Center with the opening matches beginning at 9 a.m.
Head coach Reed Sunahara is pleased with the progress he has seen throughout the Spring and hopes it will culminate with a good performance on Saturday.
"We've gotten better each time we've stepped on the court and we want to end on a good note against some good competition," said Sunahara.
To get to the gym on Saturday morning, fans should enter the Richard E. Lindner Center at the main entrance, take the elevators to the first floor and follow the signs to the tournament.
