CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball program has signed Shareese Ulis (Toledo, Ohio/Toledo Waite/Trinity Valley CC), a junior college transfer, to a National Letter of Intent. Ulis will join the team for the 2009-10 academic year and have two years of eligibility remaining at UC.

Ulis, a 5-7 guard, transfers from Trinity Valley CC (TX), were she averaged 12.0 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game. She also was an all-conference and honorable mention all-region selection during her time at TVCC.

Ulis was the all-time leading scorer with 12,011 points at Toledo Waite. A four-time all-city team member, she averaged 19.0 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 steals, and 3.0 rebounds per contest.

She was a three-time Toledo Player of the Year, two-time District Player of the Year and two-time Toledo Blade Player of the Year.

Ulis was named to the all-state team after the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons, and was nominated for the McDonald's All-American team after her senior year.

Ulis is the third student-athlete to sign with the Bearcats, joining 6-0 guard/forward Daress McClung (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) and 6-1 forward Bryonna Snow (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs), who signed NLIs during the early period in November.
