Clough Pike Elementary
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Clough Pike Elementary PTO is sponsoring a Walk-A-Thon fundraiser at Clough Pike Elementary on Friday, May 15, 2009. The proceeds from the walk-a-thon directly benefit the needs of the students through educational assemblies, field trips, computer lab instruction and future after-school programs. This year, the walk-a-thon funds are being ear-marked to purchase Smart Boards (www.smartboards.com) for the school. Currently the school has 3 smart boards in action, and is working on installing another three. The goal is to one day have a smart board in each classroom. Clough Pike PTO is working to raise $20,000 for the school in this year's walk-a-thon.
UC Athletics will be setting up a table at the event. Students will have an opportunity to win prizes from the Walk-A-Thon. UC staff members will be on hand and able to answer all questions regarding UC Athletics.
