LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Cincinnati outdoor track and field team completed Day 2 of the NCAA Mid-East Regional Saturday at Cardinal Park. Junior Antione Drakeford finished sixth in the 400 meters, recording three points for the men's team, while Lilian Jelimo added a 10th place finish in the 3,000 steeplechase to lead the women's squad.

Drakeford ran a time of 46.12 in the 400 meters, missing out on qualifying for the NCAA Championships by .12 seconds. In the 3,000 steeplechase, Jelimo clocked in with a 10th-place time of 10:48.35.

Additionally on the women's side, junior Jasmine Cotten finished in a tie for 13th in the high jump with a clearance of 5' 07".

For the men, a 16' 01-1/4" clearance in the pole vault from sophomore Shane Shockey placed him 16th, while heaves of 191' 01" and 173' 02" by Ian Jarman and Chad Hanson, respectively, in the hammer throw placed the duo 14th and 29th.

After advancing to the regional with a regional qualifying mark in the 3,000 steeplechase at the BIG EAST Championships, senior Randy King closed out his season with a 28th-place time of 9:31.10.
