CINCINNATI - Members of the University of Cincinnati men's soccer team will keep busy during the summer months playing for a variety of developmental and club teams around the country. Seven Bearcats will play in the United Soccer League's Premier Development League (PDL), the nation's top amateur league.

Matt Bahner (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), Judson McKinney (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy), Branden Stelmak (Broadview Heights, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), Nick Weightman (Lanark, Scotland/St. Aidans), and Matt Williams (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) will play with the Cincinnati Kings PDL squad. Miguel Rosales (Auroro, Colo./Smoky Hill) will take the pitch for Real Colorado, and Chris Mitchell (Ajax, Ontario/SUNY Plattsburgh) will play with the Toronto Lynx.

Through five matches, all five Bearcats have seen action for the Kings, which plays 16 matches throughout the summer. Rosales and Mitchell will join their respective clubs following the end of the academic quarter.

The top U23 men's league in North America, the PDL features 68 teams within four conferences across the United States and Canada. The PDL provides elite collegiate players the opportunity to taste a higher level of competition while maintaining their eligibility. In addition to league play, PDL teams compete in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as well as various exhibitions.
