EUGENE, Ore. - University of Cincinnati senior sprinter Antione Drakeford (Columbus, Ohio/Africentric) will participate in tonight's 400-meter semifinals at the USA Track and Field National Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., at 5:20 p.m.

Drakeford finished second in the fourth preliminary heat with a qualifying time of 46.63 seconds. The semifinals will be run live at 5:20 p.m. with a replay later during ESPN's evening coverage of event beginning at 8 p.m.

To qualify for the Saturday's finals, Drakeford needs to place among the Top 8 finishers.

The United States' best athletes will also invade Oregon for the chance to represent Team USA in Berlin, Germany this August at the IAAF World Championships, the first major international track and field event in the Olympic stadium since the 1936 Olympic Games.
