CINCINNATI - This January, over 600 University of Cincinnati students packed buses and travelled 44 hours round trip to watch the UC football team play in its first Bowl Championship Series game, the 75th FedEx Orange Bowl. Seven months later, UC students have responded again with strong support for their Bearcats.

As of July 20, 700 students have purchased "Student Convenience Season Tickets" for the upcoming football season. This is the first year UC students have had the opportunity to purchase one of 1,000 "Student Convenience Tickets," guaranteeing them a seat in the student section at every game this fall.

The new student ticket package does not change ability of students who choose not to purchase the convenience tickets. They will have the same ability to get free tickets on a game-by-game basis, depending on availability. Full-time students interested in purchasing a 2009-10 student convenience season ticket, can purchase one by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or stopping by the UC Athletics Ticket office in the lobby of the Richard E. Lindner Office between 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.
