BUFFALO, N.Y. - Former University of Cincinnati linebacker Ryan Manalac (Pickerington, Ohio/Central) signed a free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills Thursday.
Manalac previously had a tryout with the Cincinnati Bengals in the spring, but was not offered a contract. He was a two-year starter at UC, tallying 195 tackles, including 114 unassisted stops, nine tackles for a loss, and 10 pass breakups during his collegiate career.
With Manalac's signing, there are now 19 former Bearcats in NFL training camps.
The Bearcats will open the 2009 season on Monday, Sept. 7, in a 4 p.m. BIG EAST Conference game at Rutgers. Season tickets are available now by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or visiting CATSTIX.com.
