UCATS is proud to announce the upcoming launch of a new member referral program, entitled Each One Reach One. Each One Reach One is a new initiative to broaden the UCATS membership base and increase the level of support for Bearcat student-athlete scholarships. The program, which begins on August 24th, empowers current members with the framework to recruit and refer prospects to UCATS and ultimately receive significant priority point rewards and become eligible for other great prizes through the referral of new members.
In 2008, UCATS reached a record-high with nearly 3,500 memberships. That represents 3,500 walking billboards for the UCATS mission. These individuals have done so much for the long-term advancement of Bearcats Athletics in providing scholarship support for the over 500 student-athletes that represent the University of Cincinnati. Through Each One Reach One, current members have the unique opportunity to help UCATS grow without increasing their personal financial contribution. The personal testimony of current UCATS members is the most powerful recruiting tool when talking to prospective members. When talking to family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and fellow Bearcats supporters current members are encouraged to share the many reasons to join UCATS.
UC Athletics and the UCATS Board of Directors extends the challenge to all UCATS members to refer one new member for the UCATS 2009-10 Annual Fund campaign (August 24, 2009 - December 31, 2009). The 15-member UCATS Board of Directors has accepted a leadership role in the Each One Reach One Campaign with a personal challenge for each Board member to refer ten (10) new members, resulting in 150 new donors for the UCATS mission. This commitment to growth and the long-term advancement of UC Athletics is vital for the University of Cincinnati to compete at the highest level on the field of play, in the classroom, and in the community.
For every new member that is referred, the existing member of record receives additional priority points. Priority point bonuses increase incrementally as additional members are referred. For example, the member of record receives ten (10) bonus points for the referral of one new member, an additional fifteen (15) points for the referral of a second new member, an additional twenty (20) points for the referral of a third new member, etc. There is no limit to the number of additional priority points that can be accrued in this manner.
Also, every current member that refers a new member is entered into a drawing (one entry per new member) to receive one of many great prizes.
Finally, there are also grand prizes for the top Bearcat Ambassadors that refer the HIGHEST NUMBER OF NEW DONORS and the donor that GENERATES THE GREATEST DOLLAR VALUE IN NEW GIFTS.
UCATS, the principal fundraising arm of UC Athletics, has provided financial support to fund student-athlete scholarships since 1979. Membership requires a minimum contribution of $50. Perhaps the greatest benefit of UCATS membership is the understanding that your contribution creates educational opportunities for the student-athletes who represent the University of Cincinnati.
