CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's and women's cross country teams begin the 2009 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 12, when it hosts the 2009 Queen City Invitational at Mt. Airy Forest in Cincinnati. Both the men's and women's races will be 5,000-meter races.

The Bearcats will be taking on Bellarmine, Cedarville (M), Cumberlands, Kenyon, Mount St. Joseph's, Northern Kentucky, Shawnee State, Spalding, Thomas More, Transylvania, Union (Ky.), and Xavier.

The men's team features five newcomers on this year's roster, while welcoming back familiar faces such as senior Soloman Kessio, juniors David Barry, Brian Berling, Kyle Lang, Ricky Lupp, Tommy Morgan, and sophomore Eric Finan.

On the women's side, the roster stays mostly intact besides the addition of Jocelyn McCauley and Cortney Staruch. Cincinnati's top female runner from last season, Lilian Jelimo, looks to improve upon her terrific season in 2008, and she is joined by Jill Glassmeyer, Courtney Hentz, Katie Lewnard, Tamara Masters, Michele McKenney, and Kayla Phelps.

Course Description: The course has some rolling hills and some flat areas with a scenic view.

Directions: I-75, I-74 (Indianapolis), 2nd exit (Colerain Ave.), Turn left on Colerain Ave. and go 1.5 miles up the hill. At the top of the hill turn left into Mt. Airy Forest, then immediately left for a half mile. Park and meet at the Oval.
