CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team moved up to No. 17 in the Associated Press poll and No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches poll following its 70-3 win over Southeast Missouri State Saturday in Nippert Stadium.

The Bearcats were ranked No. 23 in both polls a week ago. UC had its highest scoring output in a game since 1921 against the Redhawks.

Mardy Gilyard had four touchdowns on the night, returning a punt for a score, catching two passes for touchdowns and rushing for another. Tony Pike was 17-of-23 for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Darrin Williams returned the second half kickoff 100-yards for his first career score.

The Bearcats return to action Saturday, traveling west to face rv/No. 24 Oregon State at Resor Stadium in Corvallis, Ore. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 EST in a game televised nationally by FOX Sports Net.
