CHICAGO - The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team lost, 1-0, in a BIG EAST Conference match at DePaul on Sunday afternoon at Wish Field. Cincinnati (6-5-0, 1-2-0) took one shot against the Blue Demons, which improved to 7-3-2 overall and 2-1-0 in BIG EAST play.

Andrea Kaminski (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) had several crucial stops for the Bearcats in goal and finished the game with seven saves. The Blue Demons scored at the 35:16 mark of the first half, resulting in the game-winning goal.

"DePaul outplayed us in every facet of game," said head coach Michelle Salmon. "This was an extremely difficult loss. I'm not taking anything away from DePaul, they outplayed us. But in order for us to compete at the next level, we must be consistent with our play. The thing I like about our team is that they can bounce back."

"Andrea Kaminski came with the drive and dedication that is needed to win games," stated Salmon. "She had another outstanding performance but we can't depend on her. Other players have to step up in big moments for us to play at the next level. We have a big weekend coming up at Syracuse and St. John's and our players understand the just how important the weekend is for us. They have to show up and play with the energy needed at the BIG EAST level."

Cincinnati will continue its road swing with games at Syracuse and St. John's on Friday, Oct. 2 and Sunday, Oct. 4, respectively.
