CINCINNATI - Tickets for the Homecoming football match-up at Nippert Stadium between the defending BIG EAST Champion University of Cincinnati and University of Louisville are sold out, the UC Athletics Ticket Office announced Wednesday (Oct. 7).

This is the second game to be sold out this season, joining the West Virginia game set for Friday, Nov. 13 (ESPN2) and is the sixth sellout of a Bearcats home football game during the Brian Kelly era (2007: Marshall, Louisville, West Virginia; 2008: Pittsburgh; 2009: Louisville, West Virginia).

The kickoff time for the UC-UofL game could be announced as early as Monday, Oct. 12, though the game could be held by ESPN for the one-time-a-season, six-day window announcement, meaning the time would not be announced until following the UC-USF game set for Thursday, Oct. 15.

Once the kickoff time is announced a comprehensive schedule of Homecoming 2009 events will be announced, including the Homecoming Parade. Be sure to refer back to the official web page for UC Homecoming, http://www.uc.edu/homecoming/, for all of the latest campus scheduling news.

Pickup for the UC football student tickets for the Homecoming game will begin 10-days prior to the game, on Wednesday, Oct. 14 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Lindner Center Athletics Ticket Office. Students who order online will be assessed a $1.50 processing fee per ticket. A total of (500) Student Guest tickets are also available for the game at $20 per seat.

UC Athletics has designated the sold out West Virginia game as the "RING OF RED" game for the 2009 season and is encouraging all fans to "Come Early and Be Loud", but on this one day of the year, "Wear RED" instead of the trademark Bearcats black, which is the preferred crowd color for the Louisville, Connecticut, and Illinois home games and for all road contests.

Tickets are still on sale for the Bearcats home football tilts against Connecticut (Nov. 7) and Illinois (Nov. 27). Tickets can be purchased online at www.CATSTIX.com, by phone at 1-877-CATS-TIX, or in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in the Lindner Athletics Center.

Fans who are patrons of the UC Athletics Social Media Pages may log on to their Facebook or Twitter accounts for special ticket pricing for these two games, including seats in the visiting team areas of Nippert Stadium, located on the west side of the venue in sections 127-119.
