CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team will face off against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome at noon in a game to be televised by ESPNU, the BIG EAST office announced Monday.
The two schools will meet for the 10th time with UC holding a 5-4 edge in the all-time series. The Orange lead 3-2 in games played at the Carrier Dome, but UC has won two straight in Syracuse and four straight overall in the series.
The Bearcats (6-0, 2-0 BIG EAST) are ranked at No. 5 in this week's Associated Press poll and the first Bowl Championship Series standings while sitting No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches poll. All three rankings are the best in school history. UC's previous best BCS ranking was No. 12 in the final 2008 BCS standings.
UC returns home to take on Louisville on Oct. 24 at Nippert Stadium. The homecoming game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be televised on ESPNU. Tickets for the game are sold out.
