CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team hosted "Media Madness" on Wednesday morning in Fifth Third Arena.
First-year head coach Jamelle Elliott invited female members of the media to join the team in practice. Representatives from the Cincinnati Enquirer, WLWT-TV, WXIX-TV, and Bleacherreport.com participated in warm-ups and drills throughout the first hour of practice.
The coaches and players helped instruct the media members on the nuances of offensive and defensive play and the group did a lot of running.
Elliott posed with the group for pictures and each media representative received a t-shirt, water bottle, and a season credential for access to all women's basketball home games.
The Bearcats will open regular season play on Sunday, Nov. 15, welcoming Furman to Fifth Third Arena. Tipoff for Elliott's first official game as a head coach is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or logging on to CATSTIX.com.
