CINCINNATI - The Capital One All-America Mascot Challenge has reached the first week of the playoffs and the Bearcat is one of eight mascots who is still in the race to win the title of National Mascot of the Year. In a tight battle against Sebastian the Ibis from Miami (FL), Bearcat is competing for a spot in the Final Four and needs the support of Bearcats fans from across the country.

In addition to Bearcat and Sebastian, the other mascots in the Top Eight include Bucky (Wisconsin), Big Red (Western Kentucky), Superfrog (TCU), Bill (Navy), Jack Rabbit (South Dakota State), and Testudo (Maryland). The competition continues for three playoff rounds and the National Mascot of the Year will be crowned immediately following the third week of playoffs.
