CINCINNATI - On Saturday, Nov. 21, University of Cincinnati women's track and field athletes volunteered at the Girls on the Run® event at Sawyer Point in Cincinnati. The athletes helped with race preparations like getting UC face tattoos and making tiaras for the girls running in the event. UC athletes also led the warm up for all the runners and cheered them on during the race.

Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning programs for girls age eight to thirteen years old. The programs combine training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development.

Cincinnati begins its indoor season on Friday, Dec. 4, with an intrasquad meet in the historic Armory Fieldhouse on the University of Cincinnati campus.
