NEW ORLEANS - The University of Cincinnati football team had its final practice before the Allstate Sugar Bowl, scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. kickoff on Jan. 1 at the Louisiana Superdome.
The day began with interim head coach Jeff Quinn participating in his final press conference at the Marriott New Orleans Convention Center. Coach Quinn took questions from the media and posed for photos with Florida head coach, Urban Meyer. The Allstate Sugar Bowl trophy was staged with the coaches and executives from Allstate and the Sugar Bowl were photographed as well.
The team went to the Superdome for a team photo and its final practice of 2009 before players Andre Revels, Tony Pike, Mardy Gilyard, Chris Jurek, Curtis Young, Brad Jones, Alex Daniels, and Craig Carey joined Coach Quinn at the University of Cincinnati Pep Rally at the Jax Brewery/Allstate Fan Fest location.
