CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati senior guard Kahla Roudebush (Noblesville, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll the conference announced Monday (Jan. 11).
Roudebush averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in two games last week, shooting 13-of-19 from the floor, 4-of-6 from three-point range, and 6-of-9 from the free throw line.
The senior sharpshooter scored 11 points at No. 1/1 Connecticut on Jan. 7. She had a stat-stuffing afternoon against St. John's, helping Cincinnati to its first BIG EAST win of the season and the first win in program history against the Red Storm. Roudebush scored a season-high 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and added a career-best seven assists, three rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
A preseason all-BIG EAST selection, Roudebush has been hot as of late, averaging 18.0 points per game over her last five, while shooting .547 (29-of-53) from the floor, .571 (12-of-21) from three, and .740 (20-of-27) from the free throw stripe. UC is 3-2 in its last five games with the two losses coming against the defending national champion (No. 1/1 UConn) and the defending national runner-up (Louisville).
Cincinnati (8-7 overall, 1-2 BIG EAST) continues conference play with a road date at Rutgers on Saturday, Jan. 16. Tipoff from the RAC is set for 2 p.m.
