PROVIDENCE, R.I. - University of Cincinnati senior guard Kahla Roudebush (Noblesville, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time in three weeks, the conference announced Monday (Jan. 25).
Roudebush averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in two games last week, playing the full 40 minutes in each. She shot .524 (13-of-24) from the floor, .533 (8-of-15) from three, and .778 (7-of-9) from the free throw line in helping the Bearcats split a pair of BIG EAST contests against No. 19/18 Georgetown and Seton Hall.
Roudebush matched a season-high with 25 points against GU on Jan. 19, knocking down a season-high five three-pointers and shoot 7-of-13 from the floor overall and 6-of-7 from the free throw line. It was her third 20-point game of the season and the 21st of her career.
In UC's 64-47 win at Seton Hall on Jan. 23, the senior sharpshooter poured in 16 points including 13 in the second half, helping to erase a four-point halftime deficit. She knocked down three triples and grabbed seven rebounds to help UC secure its first road win of the season.
A preseason all-BIG EAST selection, Roudebush has been hot since the start of conference play, averaging 16.8 points per game, while shooting .493 (34-of-69) from the floor, .516 (16-of-31) from three, and .739 (17-of-23) from the free throw stripe. She is averaging 39.7 minutes per game in BIG EAST play, playing in 238 of a possible 240 minutes for the Bearcats.
She previously earned Honor Roll mention on Jan. 11.
Cincinnati (9-9 overall, 2-4 BIG EAST) continues conference play with a road date at DePaul on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Tipoff from McGrath Arena is set for 8 p.m. ET.
