CINCINNATI- University of Cincinnati women's basketball coach Jamelle Elliott and her coaching staff will wear sneakers instead of dress shoes with their suits during Saturday's game against South Florida as they participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Weekend in support of the American Cancer Society. Fans are also encouraged to wear sneakers to the game Saturday to show their support.

The Bearcats coaching staff will be joined by the coaches from USF in showing their support and bringing awareness to save lives from cancer. By lacing up sneakers with their suits, college and high school basketball coaches nationwide will spotlight the fact that while cancer remains a major health concern, everyone can take daily steps to reduce their risk of the disease.

During the game Saturday, the world famous Zooperstars will be performing at halftime. MOJO radio station DJ's will be guest hosting the game and will be giving away prizes for MOJO Family Day. It is also $1 hot dog day. Lucy, the live Bearcat mascot, will be on hand on the east concourse until 2 p.m., sponsored by the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

Postgame, fans can meet and greet players from the UC women's basketball team on the east concourse of the arena for an autograph signing session. Student-athletes will be available 15 minutes following the game. Schedule posters and Sharpies will be provided.

Doors will open at 11 am, and the game will begin at noon.
