UC Tennis loses at Indiana, 7-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team traveled to Bloomington, Ind., today (Jan. 30) to complete its second weekend of competition and lost to Indiana University, 7-0.

The Hoosiers opened up the match sweeping the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. IU took each of the matches by a score of 8-2.

Indiana took each of the singles matches in straight sets not allowing UC more than four points in any of the six matches. UC sophomore Ksenia Slynko's loss in the No. 4 slot was her first loss of the season after beginning the year with two wins.

The Bearcats (0-3) return to action next weekend vs. Morehead State on Friday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. and Youngstown State on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. Both matches will take place at UC's home indoor courts at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club in Cincinnati.
