CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati's women's tennis team will hold a "Meet and Greet" reception prior to its first BIG EAST Conference match of the season vs. Connecticut on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club from 2:30-5 p.m. Players will be available for autographs and photos from 2-3:30 p.m. After a reception from 3:30-5 p.m., the match vs. UConn will start.
Cincinnati tennis fans are encouraged to come out and meet the team, including local Queen City tennis products Safiyya Ismail (Mainville, Ohio/Kings), Lindsey Lonergan (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton), and Abby Mayo (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland).
The Bearcats tennis team, led by second-year head coach and Cincinnati native Angela Wilson, has begun its 2009-10 season and is looking to improve on last year's 16-9 record - the first 15-win season by UC since 1999-00.
