Monique Reid scored 19 points to lead three Louisville players in double figures.

UC shot 48 percent in the first half and recorded assists on nine of 13 made baskets to take a 34-26 lead into the lockerroom. Roudebush and Ulis each had 10 first-half points.

A 23-8 run for the Cardinals to open the second half gave them a 49-42 lead with 11:02 to go. They pushed the lead to nine at 60-51, the largest lead of the game with 5:32 to go. The Bearcats closed regulation with an 11-2 run, highlighted by a pair of free throws from Roudebush that tied the game at 62 with 57 seconds left.

After a Louisville turnover, the Bearcats had the ball with a chance to take the lead, but a UC turnover gave U of L a chance for the win with 18 seconds left. Reid had a shot at the buzzer, but it fell off the front of the rim.

Roudebush opened the overtime session with a pull-up jumper from the elbow and after Reid split a pair of free throws, Carla Jacobs (Cleveland, Ohio/Regina) hit a three from the wing to give UC a 67-63 lead.

A pair of free throws cut the lead to 67-65, but Ulis drilled her fifth three of the game on UC's next possession to make it 70-65 and Jones put in a layup to give the Bearcats a seven point cushion with 2:00 to go.

Roudebush hit two free throws with 25 seconds left to seal the win.

The Bearcats outrebounded the Cardinals, 37-33, and forced five more turnovers.
