DADE CITY, Fla. - Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) and David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) led the University of Cincinnati men's golf team to a 22nd-place finish at the USF Invitational on March 5-7 at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club.

Kastelic and Tepe each fired three-round totals of 226, tying for 68th place in a loaded field.

Zack Bates (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) tied for 85th after rounds of 74-73-82=229. Matt Ledom (Leawood, Kan./Rockhurst Jesuit Prep) rounded out the UC scoring with a total of 76-77-79=232.

The Bearcats three-day total of 300-301-309=910 was 11 shots better than 23rd-place Marshall and eight shots shy of Rhode Island, which finished 21st. Florida Southern won the team title, coming in at 12 under par with rounds of 288-281-283=852.

Matt Stauch of Florida Southern won the individual title by five shots, firing a 12-under 204. He posted rounds of 68, 65, and 71.

Cincinnati is next in action on March 12-14 at the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee, Fla.
