HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team finished sixth at the Low Country Intercollegiate, held on the South Course at the par 72, 5,814-yard Moss Creek Golf Club on March 13-14.

Kate Moore (Shepparton, Australia/Goulburn Valley Grammar) posted rounds of 78-79=157 and finished in a tie for 13th to lead the Bearcats.

Bambee Dela Paz (Caloocan City, Philippines/Miriam College) was two shots behind, shooting 81-78=159 to finish in a tie for 18th.

Freshman Alex Carl (Union, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) was tied for 32nd with rounds of 78-84=162 and Jenny Linville (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) shot 88-76=164 to place 38th and round out the Cincinnati scoring.

The Bearcats posted a two-round total of 319-317=636 to finish sixth, just one shot behind fifth-place Richmond. Host Western Carolina won the team title for the second straight year, posting rounds of 304-312=616, two shots up on second-place James Madison.

Augusta State's Natalie Wille won the individual title in a three-hole playoff over Jillian Fraccola from Richmond.

Following finals this week, The Bearcats will host the UC Spring Invitational during spring break on March 26-27 in Crystal River, Fla.
