CINCINNATI - On Monday, March 29, City Beat-Cincinnati released its "2010 Best of Cincinnati" list and in the survey, the City Beat staff picked several sports superlatives in the town . One of the superlatives was "Best Baseball Stadium" and the home of the University of Cincinnati baseball team, Marge Schott Stadium, was voted ahead of Great American Ballpark as the best baseball stadium in Cincinnati.
Marge Schott Stadium has been the home of UC baseball since the 2004 season and the stadium seats 3,085. It has a fully-equipped press box with private viewing areas and a FieldTurf playing surface, and sits in the heart of the Richard E. Lindner Varsity Village, making it one of the finest college baseball facilities in the country.
The Bearcats host the USF Bulls at Marge Schott Stadium April 1-3 in their first home conference series of the season. First pitch for Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2, is set for 6:30 p.m., while the start time for the series finale on Saturday, April 3, is slated for 1 p.m.
