CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team started its 2010 spring season with two victories, defeating Marshall on Wednesday, April 7 and winning at Indiana on Sunday, April 11.

The Bearcats hosted Marshall and earned a 2-1 victory at Gettler Stadium. Kendall Loggins (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) and Kaylee Dakers (Brampton, Ontario/Heart Lake Secondary) each posted goals in the win. The Thundering Herd scored its only goal in the final five minutes of action.

Cincinnati traveled to Bloomington, Ind. on Sunday and returned to Clifton with a 2-1 win over the Indiana Hoosiers. Emily Hebbeler (Park Hills, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) scored both of UC's goals. The Bearcats closed in on a shutout but IU scored in the last five minutes of play.

Ashley Daniels (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) played the full 90 minutes in goal of both games.

The Bearcats will continue the spring season, hosting Vanderbilt on Saturday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in Gettler Stadium. Prior to the game, at approximately 5:15 p.m., coaches from both schools will host a free clinic for all players under the age of 14 and there will be a coaches clinic, the Coach Shadow Program, for high school and club coaches, that will begin at 6:15 p.m.
