The University of Cincinnati Athletic Department developed a way for businesses and campus offices around the country to join in on the fun and show their pride for the University. Bearcat Fridays are scheduled to run throughout the year.
This week's BEARCAT FRIDAY WINNER IS TROPICAL SMOOTHIE CAFÉ in West Chester, Ohio! The BEARCAT mascot will visit Tropical Smoothie Cafe tomorrow to deliver UC items to employees wearing red and black.
"We are very excited to be selected as the winner for Bearcat Friday at Tropical Smoothie Café - West Chester. Being a Bearcat and former member of an athletic team as well as several employees attending UC, the mix of UC Spirit and our tasty, healthy menu options is a winning combination! Stop in Friday around 3pm at our Voice of America location to enjoy any of our delicious low-fat Real Fruit Smoothies for only $1.99 and meet the UC Bearcat," said owner Jeff Glassmeyer. "Enjoy one of our delicious wraps, sandwiches, or flatbreads and watch as our Smoothie Man takes on the Bearcat in a friendly arm wrestle. Celebrate our local community and enjoy a delicious, real fruit smoothie - a great way to live better, eat better, and feel better!"
Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchise was opened in West Chester in 2007 to bring a healthy alternative to fast food. They offer a full menu of Real Fruit Smoothies along with Wraps and Sandwiches made with Dietz and Watson meats. They are proud to show their Bearcat support and provide a healthy lifestyle to the community.
HOW DOES BEARCATS FRIDAY WORK?
Sponsored by the UC Department of Athletics, UC Office of Trademarks, and the UC Alumni Association, Bearcats fans can participate in the fun and show support by signing up and wearing UC gear on Fridays. In addition to competing against other participating groups to show your colors with pride, registering will make you eligible to win prizes for your group and maybe even get a visit from the Bearcat himself.

Wear something UC branded or at least red and black on each Friday.
Your business/group will be listed as a Bearcats Friday participant in UC athletics communications such as our electronic newsletter, C-Mail.
Your business/group will receive a sign to display showing your support to our students, faculty, staff, and alumni, and that you are a proud member of Bearcats Nation! Your business/group will also be eligible in drawings, featuring the Bearcats Friday Business of the Week.
Business of the Week winners will receive a UC gift basket, and a possible visit from the Bearcats' mascot. We will also take a picture of your group and post it on the Bearcats Friday page at GoBEARCATS.com. Even if you do not win the weekly drawing, please send in pictures of your group and we will post them on the Bearcats Friday page to show your support.
