Clough Pike Elementary Walk-A-Thon
May 14, 2010

The Bearcat Caravan starts off the weekend with a visit to Clough Pike Elementary to participate in the school Walk-A-Thon on Friday, May 14th. The Bearcat Mascot will also be in attendance and participate in the walk. This is the Eighth Annual Walk-A-Thon which is typically a day set aside for exercise, fun activities and a goal of raising $20,000 for the school.

Something a little different from past years at the Walk-A-Thon is that this year the Guinness Book of World Records has approved Clough Pike Elementary's request to attempt to break a world record. They will attempt to break the record for the most people assembled, simultaneously patting their heads and rubbing their bellies for one minute. The current record is 322 people.

Clough Pike Elementary is part of the West Clermont Local School District. It was built in 1968 and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students from preschool through fifth grade. They house inclusion classrooms so the needs of children with disabilities can be met in regular education settings along with hosting the district's gifted programs. Clough Pike is located at 808 Clough Pike in Cincinnati, Ohio.
