Over the weekend the Bearcat Caravan visited two local elementary events. On Friday, May 14th, the Bearcat Caravan stopped at Clough Pike Elementary, where the Bearcat Mascot directed school busses, greeted kids off of the bus and took pictures with them as well. While at Clough Pike, the Bearcat Marketing team participated in the world record breaking task of the most people "patting your head and rubbing your stomach simultaneously" for a consecutive minute. The students of Clough Pike were then able to participate in their annual Walk-A-Thon and play games outside.

Clough Pike Elementary is part of the West Clermont Local School District. It was built in 1968 and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students from preschool through fifth grade. They house inclusion classrooms so the needs of children with disabilities can be met in regular education settings along with hosting the district's gifted programs. Clough Pike is located at 808 Clough Pike in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Bearcat Caravan also attended Kilgour Elementary on Saturday, May 15th to be a part of the annual school carnival. Kids and adults alike lined up to win prizes for completing a throw in the UC inflatable football toss. Members of the Marketing staff even joined up with volunteer workers to help man the popular sno-cone booth. UC Staff also discussed UC athletic teams past and future with a number of friendly fans.

Kilgour School is a neighborhood school in the Cincinnati Public School District. It houses students from kindergarten through sixth grade. It is located at 1339 Herschel Ave in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The next Bearcat Caravan event will be Tuesday, May 18th for the second Coaches Caravan stop of the season. This time the caravan will be at Salem Gardens on the east side of Cincinnati. Head Football Coach Butch Jones, Head Men's Basketball Coach Mick Cronin, Women's Basketball Assistant Coach LaRita Wilcher and Director of Athletics Mike Thomas will be on hand to talk to fans and to answer any questions about their programs. The event will begin with a reception at 6:00pm followed by a short program around 7:30pm. There is no cost to attend the event and all food and beverage purchases are on an individual basis. Salem Gardens is located at 6396 Salem Road in Cincinnati. To RSVP so we know how many Bearcats to expect, click here.
