CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - University of Cincinnati golfers Bambee Dela Paz, Kate Moore, and Kristin Price have been named to the 2010 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team, the organization announced Monday.
Nearly 500 women's golfers across Division I, II, and III earned spots on the team by posting a 3.5 cumulative grade point average while competing in 50 percent of her team's rounds. UC was one of 53 Division I programs to have three or more student-athletes named to the team.
"I am proud of the effort these ladies put into our CATapult mission in the classroom," said Director of Golf Janet Carl. "It is their commitment to their role as student-athletes that helps them to achieve these honors."
Dela Paz was named to the all-BIG EAST team after finishing 10th at the conference championships. She led the team in scoring average at 77.6 per round and posted eight Top-20 finishes in 11 tournaments. She posted a 3.86 GPA in 2009-10
Moore, who was third on the squad with a 79.4 scoring average in 2009-10, won the Dayton Fall Invitationa, her first career victory. She held a perfect 4.0 GPA in the 2009-10 academic year.
Price averaged 81.0 over 25 rounds during her sophomore campaign in 2009-10. She posted four Top 30 finishes, posting a season-best 12th at the Canes and Cards Classic with a career-best 78-78-75=231. Price posted a 3.56 GPA in 2009-10.
