Fabini Interview | Coach Jones Interview | Jefferson Ave. Sports Complex Webcam
WEST HARRISON, Ind. - The University of Cincinnati football team held a pair of workouts Tuesday, its second two-a-day session, at the Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in West Harrison, Ind.
The weather has taken a turn for the better over the past two days, featuring sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s, a welcome change after the heat during week one of camp.
Some of UC's front-line players were held out of major action this morning as the coaching staff wanted to get more repetitions for the second and third string. Quarterbacks Chazz Anderson and Brendon Kay saw the majority of the play during 11-on-11 and wideout Marcus Barnett saw some extended action as well.
Jason Fabini (1994-97), a former letterwinner and longtime NFL player, visited practice today. Click the video link above for an interview with Fabini.
Former letterwinner Richard Morgan (1962-64) was also a special guest at practice. Morgan was the winner of an auction item to spend a day at Higher Ground with the football team. The auction took place following the annual Lettermen's Weekend Golf Outing during the spring. Morgan attended both practices, had lunch and dinner with the team, and sat in on a position group meeting and team meeting.
The Bearcats will scrimmage Wednesday at the start of practice.
Dr. Lawrence Johnson, Dean of the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services, cooked dinner for the team on Monday night. Dr. Johnson, an award-winning chef, made several dishes, including chicken cacciatore, pasta, homemade meatballs and Italian sausage, and cheese garlic bread.
