LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team finished 11th at Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate on Wednesday (Oct. 13) at the New Mexico State Golf Course.
Bambee Dela Paz (Caloocan City, Philippines/Miriam College) finished in a tie for 22nd with rounds of 74-80-70=224, one shot ahead of freshman Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola). Malek carded rounds of 73-76-76=225 to place tied for 28th.
Jenny Linville (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) tied for 40th with rounds of 76-78-75=229.
The Bearcats shot 300-308-298=906 to finish 11th, two shots behind Northern Arizona (306-301-297=904) and three shots ahead of 12th-place Boise State (301-310-298=909).
New Mexico State, the tournament host, won the team title with rounds of 289-291-286=866. Baylor (285-295-291=871) finished second.
Baylor's Lene Hafsten-Morch (71-773-65=209) won medalist honors by five strokes over a trio of second-place finishers: Shang Huang of Texas-El Paso (71-72-71=214), Baylor's Jaclyn Jansen (65-75-74=214), and Demi Mak of New Mexico State (71 72 71 214).
The Bearcats will return to action on Oct. 25-26 at the Memphis Women's Invitational.
