MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The University of Cincinnati (8-7-1, 2-6 BIG EAST) women's soccer team lost, 4-0, at Marquette University (11-3-2, 8-0 BIG EAST) in BIG EAST Conference action on Friday night.

"Marquette is a very good team," said head coach Michelle Salmon. "Today we did a good job in the first half of limiting their chances. The second half we had a couple of lapses that we can't have against a very good team like Marquette."

Cincinnati took the first three shots of the match but Marquette put pressure on and finished out the half with five shots. The Golden Eagles got on the scoreboard in the 42nd minute off of a corner kick. Stephanie Vasos sent in the corner kick and Ally Miller headed it in for the game-winner.

The Golden Eagles turned up its offensive attack in the second half, scoring three goals. Marquette scored in the 52nd and 54th minute. MU finished its scoring in the 81st minute.

Ashley Daniels (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) finished with seven saves in goal for the Bearcats. Jazmine Rhodes (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Polytechnic) had three of UC's four shots for the match.

The Bearcats head to Tampa, Fla. for a 1 p.m. match at USF on Sunday, Oct. 17, in a BIG EAST match.
